Gloucestershire Adult Daycare Services

What we do

We offer day care for adults whose assessed needs meet our eligibility criteria and need support in keeping and enhancing their independence.

The day centres provide particular types of services to meet different needs. The centre offer short-term support to help you access services in your local community. Others provide more specialist ongoing support to help you and your carer. Sometimes these services are provided together with local health services. Each day centre will be trying to meet all or some of the following types of needs:

  • Social therapy
  • Rehabilitation
  • Education
  • Respite care
  • Advocacy
  • Advice
  • Specialist care
  • Support and information for carers

All the centres work with the people who attend to build and maintain their skills and confidence.
Centres may offer advice on other potential sources of help such as welfare benefits, care in your own home or residential care. They also work closely with other people providing you with care or support to make the best use of the resources available
