Housing

Currently the Partnership is involved in plans for the future use of the site on Bank Street, Coleford, which at present houses the Community Centre and the County Library. Current plans for those buildings will release the land on which they stand, together with a land-locked area behind the Community Centre, to be redeveloped for mixed use housing and a small economic development. A consultation event was held on the 10th July, with the residents of Parkside, who will be involved in discussions throughout the planning process.
Whilst discussions are at a very early stage, it is important that the type of development is suited to the needs of the Coleford area. Frank Baynham is the Partnership representative on this working party.

In spite of all the contact, the Charity Trustees have put the premises back on the open market. It really is a case of “watch this space”
